About the Student Government Annual Turkey Drive
Each year the Sacred Heart University Student Government works to provide for the student body and promote the common good of society. Through various initiatives, such as the Annual Turkey Drive, Student Government raises school spirit, social awareness, and cultivates a campus community that is recognized as caring and creative.
The Annual Turkey Drive is a long standing tradition at Sacred Heart University. It began eight years ago as an initiative to teach the members of Student Government and the Sacred Heart University campus community the importance of giving back to others and what it truly means to be a member of a community. Over the years this initiative has grown with the end goal increasing from year to year.
Again, Student Government strives to support over 700 families by raising $12,000 this Thanksgiving season. Your participation will help us continue this long standing SHU tradition and many others!
Should this campaign exceed goal, Student Government will determine if it should utilize the funds to assist additional families or to support future mission-based service initiatives.
