SHU Football Needs a Jugs Machine!

The 2018 football season was great as we captured another Northeast Conference Championship!  This success doesn’t happen in a vacuum or by accident.  Your continued support allows our student-athletes to have the necessary tools for success.  In return, our team puts forth an effort that is characterized by hard-work, determination, pride and selflessness that reflect the Sacred Heart University mission.  Work has already begun as we look toward the 2019 football season and defend our championship. One area that is important to our skill positions (receivers, running backs, tight ends, and punters) is the JUGS machine. 

This piece of equipment will help our players get better.  In 2018 we increased the usage of this machine and saw incredible results.  Throughout the season we had a total of 19 dropped passes against 47 dropped passes in 2017.  Additionally, we drastically reduced the number of dropped punts from 7 in 2017 to zero in 2018.  As a coaching staff, we are always working with our players on technique and being smart, having this piece of equipment has truly made a difference for us.

With that being said, we need your help!  As a former player and someone who knows the importance of having these pieces of equipment we are in need of a new machine this year.  Our goal is to raise $4,000 so we can order a new JUGS machine.  All gifts will play a critical role in helping us reach our goal.  I truly hope that I can count on your support!
