Make a Gift to SHU Baseball in Honor of Coach Giaquinto!

In honor of Coach Nick Giaquinto, we are asking our alumni, friends, and family to consider making a gift to the Baseball program: $29 for Coach G's 29 years of service, or an amount of your choice.

Coach G's Final Season

As many of you may know, this season marks Coach Nick Giaquinto’s final season as head coach of the Sacred Heart University Baseball program. This is his 29th year at Sacred Heart University and his 18th year at the Division I level, recording his 600th win just this past year. Needless to say, he has made a lasting impression on all current and former Baseball student-athletes.

Giaquinto entered his final campaign with the Pioneers with 608 career victories and an eighth place finish at the 1992 Division II College World Series on his resume; one of seven NCAA Regional appearances. The Pioneers have won four NEC Championships, most recently in 2015, the seventh consecutive season that SHU played in the NEC Championship Game. He was named the NEC Coach of the Year in 2005 and was both the Northeast Region and New England Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year in 1992.

In honor of Coach G, we are asking our alumni, family, and friends to consider making a gift to the SHU Baseball program: $29 for Coach G’s 29 years of service, or an amount of your choice. In addition, on Saturday, May 13, 2017 we will gather for Coach G’s Final Home Game Celebration at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard following the 1:00 PM game against Bryant University. We hope that you will join us in showing your support for Coach G at the event and you can register here today. For further event details, please see below.

On behalf of our student-athletes, coaches, parents, and administrators at Sacred Heart University, thank you for your dedication and support of SHU Baseball over the years. Your support means so much to us, but most importantly, to Coach G and our Baseball student-athletes. Go Pioneers!
