We are humbly reaching out to Women's Basketball alumni, families, and friends in an effort to raise critical funds for our thriving Sacred Heart University Women's Basketball team as they strive to travel to Greece for a nine-day team training experience in August 2018. We are deeply appreciative for all of the players, coaches, and supporters whom have helped lay the program’s foundation and inspired our commitment to establish a first-class Division I experience for our student-athletes. You have truly molded our program into what it is today.
A cultural immersion experience in Greece will skyrocket the DI Women's Basketball experience for our 15 student-athletes and will provide an opportunity for the team to gain a global perspective that no other teaching method could impart. "Sacred Heart Women’s Basketball is committed to providing an all-around experience in the development of our students, both as athletes and as people," said Head Women's Basketball Coach Jessica Mannetti. Coach Mannetti believes that a team training experience in Greece will do just that.
We are relying on charitable support to fund investments in early commitment fees, transportation, hotel rooms, meals, tour guide fees, miscellaneous costs, and team excursions that will make the experience worthwhile and benefit the SHU Women's Basketball program for years to come. We have identified a "Wish List" for the team training experience in Greece totaling $97,127 with the hope that you can help by making a gift, asking others to support SHU Women's Basketball, or in a perfect scenario, assist with both.
