This year SHU X-Men elevated their level of competition by joining the New England Wide Collegiate Rugby Conference. The team advanced to the conference final, falling to the University of Vermont in the NEWCRC conference championship. The SHU X-Men were rewarded for their strong regular season and will compete in the Play-In Round of the USA Rugby Men's Division II National Championship.
The team is scheduled to play William Paterson University on Sunday, November 11 at 1:00pm. A win sends the team to the Round of 16 hosted at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. We need your help! The cost of this post-season run could exceed $30,000, so we are launching an urgent fundraising effort to get our entire 36-member team on the bus to North Carolina.

About Us
The X-Men Rugby Football Club was established at Sacred Heart University in 1992 and enjoys a proud 27-year legacy of success shaped by the kinship and comradery of a team on and off the pitch. “We Work Hard, We Play Hard” has always been our motto. Some of the best college rugby in the northeast region runs through Sacred Heart. We are thankful for the entire X-Men fan base who have helped make this incredible journey possible.
Should this campaign exceed goal, funds will be set aside into a restricted account for future SHU X-Men championship runs and other special opportunities.
Your $25 donation will provide one-day of meals for an X-Man.
Your $78 donation will provide a one night hotel stay for 4 X-Men.
Your $100 donation will provide four days worth of meals for one X-Man.
With a $234 donation you provide a three night hotel stay for 4 X-Men.
Your $1,000 donation will provide a meal for the entire rugby team.
With your $3,000 donation, you cover the entire hotel stay for the X-Men during their travels to the National Championship!
Your $3,600 donation will underwrite the meal per diem for the entire team.
With a $5,000 donation, you underwrite the post season Championship Banquet for the X-Men!
Your $10,000 donation will provide the transportation for the X-Men to and from the National Championship.
With this $30,000 donation you underwrite the entire trip to the National Championship!
