Support SHU Women's Bowling Friends and Family Campaign Today!

About Our Campaign

As proud members of the Sacred Heart University Women's Bowling team, we are participating in a campaign to raise critical funds for our program. Our team goal is to raise $5,000 by June 1, 2017 and we kindly ask you to make a gift in support of SHU Women's Bowling today.

Your gift will help ensure that our program has the necessary resources to compete at the Division I level and provide key assistance for our operating budget. Your gift will also enable our team to purchase new equipment, organize team-bonding experiences (allowing our team to grow closer as a unit) and help subsidize the costs of airfare, hotels, meals, and transportation during our team travel experiences throughout the 2017-18 season.

We are truly proud to represent this remarkable institution and have high expectations for the future of our program. On behalf of all of us at Sacred Heart University, thank you so much for your generosity and support of SHU Women's Bowling and we look forward to seeing you this upcoming season!

More About Our Team

The SHU Women's Bowling team took home second place at the 2016-17 NEC Championship after finishing their season 65-39 in dual matches. They will look to capitalize on their great run during the 2017-18 season!

The SHU Women's Bowling team attended the 2017 SAAC Pioneer Ball, where they accepted the 2016-17 Pioneer Cup trophy; representing their success and dedication to academics, community service, and support of all SHU athletics teams.

Action shots of the SHU Women's Bowling team during their 2016-17 season.

For the second consecutive year, our team captured the regular season title and advanced to the NEC Championship game. Despite a hard-fought loss to Fairleigh Dickinson in the title game, we posted a 15-3 record and were ranked as high as #9 in the nation according to the NTCA Coaches Poll! Junior Amanda Nardiello was named the NEC Player of the Year and was joined by seniors Lauren Hoffman and Sarah Rhodes as First Team All-NEC selections. Senior Amanda Tyrrell garnered Second Team All-NEC honors and head coach Becky Kregling was named the NEC Coach of the Year for the second year in row.

In the community, our team is averaging over 53 hours per student-athlete and has volunteered at many different places such as local Franklin Elementary School, the Aaron McNeil House in Kentucky, and the Clarksville Senior Citizens Center in Tennessee! We are incredibly proud to announce that our team took home the 2016-17 Sacred Heart University Athletics Pioneer Cup, which combines academics, volunteer service in the community, and supporting other SHU teams by attending games. We had the highest number of points (321 point total) among all other teams at SHU. As you can see, we are so proud of all the great things we are involved with here at Sacred Heart University.

Thank you so much for your support of SHU Women's Bowling and Go Pioneers!
